FRSC Deploys 36 Senior Officers for Better Service Delivery

The Federal Road Safety Commission  has deployed in different formations of the corps across the country, 36 senior officers who were recently promoted by the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi.
The corps stated that the redeployment was meant to ensure efficiency, dynamism and excellence in service delivery to the public.

FRSC RECORDS 25% REDUCTION IN CRASHES DURING THE 2019 EASTER CELEBRATION


Following the just concluded 2019 Easter special patrol which lasted from Thursday 19 to Tuesday 23 April 2019, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has stated that it recorded a total of 120 crashes during the Easter celebration, as against a total of 160 crashes in the same period in 2018, representing 25% reduction in the total number of crashes that occurred during the 2019 Easter celebration.

FRSC ASSURES OF ITS PREPAREDNESS FOR 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS

Following the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections earlier scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold last Saturday, 16 February, 2019 and the new rescheduled date of Saturday, 23rd February 2019 and March 9, 2019 for governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections respectively, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has assured members of the public on the level of preparedness and general participation of the FRSC in the general elections.

FRSC ORGANIZES NATIONWIDE TRAINING FOR ITS PERSONNEL TOWARDS THE 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS

Arising from the need to ensure smooth movement of election personnel and materials before,during and after the upcoming general elections, the Federal Road Safety Corps has doubled its resolve by organising one day training workshop for its personnel across all formations nationwide for efficiency and quality performance.
In a statement by Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer, he revealed that the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has given an express directive for an immediate commencement of a training workshop for FRSC personnel on election duties nationwide.

ROAD FATALITY REDUCED BY 18.6% DURING 2018 END OF YEAR SPECIAL PATROL.


The number of people killed during the recent end of year special patrol for 2018 tagged "OPERATION ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ROAD TRAFFIC CRASHES" dropped from 338 in 2017 to 275 in 2018 with a difference of 63 representing 18.6%. This was disclosed by the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi in his review of the 2018 special end of year patrol which commenced on 20 December 2018 and lasted till Tuesday, 15 January 2018.

OSUN SECTOR COMMAND HANDED OVER A RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE


Osun Sector Command handed over a recovered stolen vehicle (Kia Sportage) to the owner today 11th January 2019. The patrol team of the command while carrying out patrol activities on 22nd December 2018 came across an abandoned vehicle which was parked at the middle of the highway with the two number plates removed, causing obstruction which led to the towing of the vehicle to the office. After several days that nobody came to claim the vehicle, this raised suspicion. The suspicion led to searching of the vehicle for possible contact of the owner. This effort paid off by discovering of the vehicle papers to the vehicle, in which the telephone contact of the owner of the vehicle,one Mrs Aderonke Shijuade of Ife town was discovered. During the conversation with her, she claimed the ownership of the vehicle,she went further that the vehicle was stolen by armed robbers in her compound which was reported to a police station in Ife. The Command got in touch with the DPO of the station, who in turn confirmed her claim(the owner), with an official report.The Command went further to confirm the authenticity of her claim through the FRSC NVIS portal.At the end of the day, the authenticity of her claim was established. After all these, the vehicle was jointly released to the owner by the Command and the police representatives with an acknowledgement letter.
